An existing site that could be better
Sports Tourz, based in Haarlem, organises soccer and field hockey tours to the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany for youth, academy and college teams. Training at pro clubs, friendly matches, hotels and outings: they arrange the whole trip. They also run their own tournaments, such as the Yellow Soccer Cup.
Arend Jan from Sports Tourz found us through an advertisement on Meta. They already had a website but wanted a new one. He knew exactly what he wanted and sent a sitemap straight away: which pages had to be added and which could go.
A concept instead of a quote
Arend Jan also asked other agencies for quotes. We did not send a quote; in a meeting we showed him a complete concept of the new site straight away.
That settled it. He chose us because he could already see what he would get, and because we work fast as a young team.
Calmer first, then more playful again
They found the first concept too busy. We moved to dark navy as the base, with orange only for buttons and accents. We added more photos and cut the texts down considerably in all three languages.
After that it was allowed to be more playful again, with elements that fit their house style. The slanted orange stripes came back, and Arend Jan came up with the idea for a sports element himself: the penalty area on the soccer pages and the shooting circle on the hockey pages. They now run across the full width of the blue sections.
Small details finish it off: a flag for every country, stars for the hotel options and a yellow accent colour for the Yellow Soccer Cup.
The difference between old and new
The new homepage says straight away what Sports Tourz does and where, with a button to request a tour proposal. Their phone number, email address and the language switch sit in the bar above.
On the old site every club had a page of its own with three text boxes. Now there is one page per country and sport, with all partner clubs together. A coach sees in one go what is possible in the Netherlands, Belgium or Germany.

New websiteEdit it yourself, in three languages
The site is available in English, Dutch and German. Sports Tourz wanted to post news themselves, so we added a content management system.
In it they update news, tournaments, page texts, partner clubs, teams and photos themselves, per language. Every field explains in Dutch where it shows up on the site. They have since scheduled their own sessions to update the texts.
Live without breaking old links
On 9 October 2026 the new site went live at sportstourz.eu, ten days after Arend Jan chose us. The domain and email stayed where they were, so email kept running as usual.
The old site had many pages that were already in Google, such as that page per club. We redirect every one of those old addresses to the right new page, so visitors and Google never land on an error. We then registered the site with Google Search Console and had the most important pages indexed.
“Top service from PlusDigital. They rebuilt the website super fast and are very flexible when it comes to changes.”
